What we are

An independent directory of 12 verified locksmith companies across 5 states (and growing). We are not a locksmith, not a dispatch service, and not a lead reseller. Every phone number on this site rings the company's own line, and clicking it costs you nothing.

How we verify

LocksmithWiki selects companies based on verifiable information. We compare public sources, including official company websites, available government registers, Google, BBB, and other relevant platforms. Where needed, we also consider documents and explanations provided by the company. A website, a profile on a well-known platform, or a high rating alone does not guarantee inclusion in the directory.

What we check before publication

• Business details and direct contact. We check the company's identity, direct contact details, advertised services, and service area.
• Licensing and supporting credentials. Where a state licenses locksmiths, we record the license number the company gives, and its profile says whether we have checked that number against the state board's register. Insurance is shown with its basis: confirmed with the owner, or stated on the company's own website. Claims about accreditation and other credentials are described as verified only when adequately supported.
• Ratings and reputation. We check ratings against the sources identified on each listing and consider available reviews and complaint history. An unconfirmed rating is shown as pending, never as a verified score.

If a company's identity or direct contact details cannot be confirmed, or material inconsistencies remain unresolved, the company is not published. Where a license or insurance claim rests on the company's own statement, the listing is published with that status shown on its profile, not presented as verified. Google profiles, BBB ratings, and BBB accreditation are different types of information; none replaces our own assessment.

How we consider reviews and customer reports

We consider available positive and negative reviews, complaint history, and how a company responds to customers. We also consider first-hand accounts sent directly to LocksmithWiki through the feedback form on each company's profile. Specific circumstances, recurring problems, and supporting information matter. A high average rating does not prevent us from investigating a serious complaint, and an unsubstantiated allegation is not treated as an established violation.

Published review excerpts are attributed to their sources and quoted in the reviewer's original language. We do not write, buy, or invent customer reviews.

What Verified means

Verified means that the company met LocksmithWiki's published criteria at the time of our review. It does not guarantee the quality of every future service, final pricing, technician availability, or the outcome of a job. The label reflects our assessment and does not imply endorsement by Google, BBB, or any other source mentioned on this site.

A listing is not permanent

New information, changes in a company's operations, loss of required credentials, or substantiated customer concerns may trigger another review, regardless of how recently the company was listed. Publication today does not guarantee continued inclusion in the directory.

When we may suspend or remove a listing

LocksmithWiki reserves the right to update, temporarily hide, or remove a listing without prior notice if we identify inaccurate information, a failure to meet our criteria, or verifiable circumstances indicating a significant risk to customers. Where needed, a listing may be hidden while a complaint is reviewed. A company may submit explanations and supporting documents for reconsideration; doing so does not guarantee reinstatement.

Our purpose is to help visitors make informed decisions. We reassess published information and correct errors when sufficient supporting evidence becomes available.
