Privacy Policy

What we collect from visitors

Browsing LocksmithWiki does not require an account. For visitors we collect: (a) anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (page views and button clicks such as Call / Text / Website, without cookies that identify you personally), used to understand which listings visitors find useful; and (b) your approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address by our hosting provider at request time) — used only to sort nearby locksmiths first on the homepage. We do not build a marketing profile of you.

Forms that do collect information

• Locksmith applications on /for-locksmiths — business contact details you submit so we can verify and list your company. We use that information only for verification and follow-up about your application. We do not sell it.
• Anonymous feedback on company profiles — free-text reports with no name, email, or phone field. We use these reports to decide whether a listing stays in the directory. We do not forward the note to the business.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent, or share visitor or applicant data with listed businesses for marketing.
• We do not run third-party advertising or ad trackers.
• We are not a party to your call or text to a locksmith. When you tap “Call” or “Text,” your phone connects you directly to the business — we only count that a button was clicked, not who clicked it.

Storage

Application and feedback records, and anonymous click counters, may be stored with our hosting and database providers solely to operate the directory. Aggregate analytics may also appear in our hosting dashboard.

Third-party links

Links to company websites, Google Maps, and social profiles leave this site; those destinations have their own privacy practices that we do not control.
