A listing here is earned, not bought — and the vetting is deliberately harder than you're used to. If your shop is insured, answers its own phone, and charges what it quoted, you're exactly who this directory was built for. If it doesn't, this page will save us both some time.
What you get

- Calls and texts that go straight to you — we never resell or broker leads

What we'll check
- A live certificate of insurance — current, in your business name, verified with the carrier or agent. Expired or unverifiable certificates end the application.
- State license number, in every state that issues one — checked directly against the state board's record, not against what your website claims.
- Your public review history across Google and other platforms, including patterns that suggest purchased or incentivized reviews.
- That your phone reaches you — we call it. If it rings a national dispatch desk or a lead reseller, the application is closed.
- Ownership and address reality — business registration, and whether the address you publish is a real place of business rather than a mail drop or someone else's storefront.
The part most directories skip: we may hire you
While your application is open — and at any point after you're listed — we may place an ordinary paid service call through your public number, as an ordinary customer, without identifying ourselves. We compare the price quoted on the phone against the invoice, time your arrival window, and note how the technician conducts themselves on site.
We pay for that call in full like any other customer. You will not be told which call it was, or when it happened. If the quote and the invoice match and the work is clean, you will simply never hear about it.
Ongoing review and removal
Publication does not guarantee continued inclusion. We consider new information, available reviews, and customer reports with supporting evidence. Examples of concerns that may lead to further review, suspension, or removal include:
- A price that grows on arrival without a documented, disclosed reason — whether identified during a secret-shopper call or supported by a customer report.
- Lapsed insurance or a lapsed license found at any re-check.
- Reselling or brokering the calls that come from your listing.
- Purchased, incentivized, or fabricated reviews on any platform.
- Cash-only pressure or drill-first diagnoses on a lock a competent locksmith could open.
A complaint alone is not treated as an established fact. We may edit, temporarily hide, or remove a listing without prior notice if it no longer meets our criteria or if credible concerns require investigation. A company may submit explanations, corrections, and supporting documents for reconsideration; reinstatement is not guaranteed.
